We have a master plan to develop four group homes. The neighborhood homes will be located in three counties in Delaware which include New Castle, Kent, and Sussex. And the homes operate seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Staff working in these homes provide assistance to the residents on tasks such as bathing, cooking, cleaning, and activities of daily living. Also, they will also assist with community outings, shopping, doctor’s appointments, and other activities.
The State of Delaware Developmental Disabilities Program provides some of the resources to run these homes. And the rest of the money for client’s room and board comes from Social Security Disability Income or other personal finances. Our goal for the group homes is to enable the residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring each individual’s health and safety.
The Community Living Program is for people who live in staffed apartments or homes. Our staff provides care and assistance with activities of daily living, and assist with tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping. In addition, assisting in the planning of recreational outings, scheduling doctor’s appointments and more. Also, staff may assist clients when applying for benefits such as Social Security, housing and energy assistance. And overnight drop-by assistance is provided to participants if it is needed for residential services. So, feel free to contact us for more information today.
